Fred Greenburg
Fred Greenburg fulfilled a dream in 1994 when he started Fred's Camp at the age of 50. He retired as a Physical Education teacher in 2003 after teaching at Pulaski Fine Arts Academy, a Chicago Public School for 36 years. The Gymnasium at Pulaski Academy bears his name.

Jodi, Fred's daughter, has been working with her father, every summer since 1985. Jodi has assumed every role at camp during those years and is the first person you speak with when calling camp during the off season and wears different hats during the camp season. She was an early childhood special education teacher prior to having children and now enjoys working on camp all year long.
Jodi lives in Northbrook with her husband, David, who is the Sales Manager at Universal Scrap and the owner of Lasky Martial Arts (www.laskymartialarts.com). Together, they have 2 children Madelyn and Sean (both of whom attend camp).

Mark, Fred's son, is Director of Fred's Camp. During the school year he is the Athletic Director teacher at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School. This summer will mark his 24th consecutive summer working alongside his dad. However, his real job is being the "daddy" to Max (6), Charlie (3) and his newst camper, Hannah (Feb '11. Virgie Berry
My name is Virgie Berry and this summer marks my 10th year of
working at Fred's Camp. I began when I was going into my
freshman year of high school and am still here today! I graduated
last year from Lewis University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I began working as an aide for a Catholic
School on the Northside of Chicago in September and will be going
back there this year as well. I am also going to be pursuing a
Masters Degree in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from
Loyola University. I ideally want to work in the non-profit sector
and focus on school advocacy and improvement. Like most people
starting at camp, I began as a junior counselor and loved it so much
I kept coming back. I now work in the office and I love it! When I am
not at camp I like to spend time with my dog, read, workout, and
spend time with my family, especially my two cousins David and
Giavanna. It is hard to answer what Fred's Camp means to me
because I feel that there are no words as to how much I look forward
to this job each year. I have been here ten years now, and each y
ear gets more exciting. I love dealing with both the kids and parents.
Fred's Camp has become like a second family to me. I look forward to each summer knowing it will be better than the last.
Everyone at camp isso supportive and it is truly an amazing summer
job!
Cody McLaurine
My name is Cody McLaurine and I have been a counselor and
administrator at Fred’s camp since 1994. I started out as Tween
counselor then an assistant tween camp admin. I am currently
an assistant Admin with the Junior Camp. I have been a First
and Second Grade Teacher at New Field School in Rogers Park
for 17 years. My wife and I have a 3 year old son and we are
expecting our second son in the fall. Fred’s camp has been my
summer destination for 18 years and I wouldn’t feel like I could
do anything else during my summer break. The kids and parents
are just amazing. The counselors are very caring and loving of kids.
My fellow admins are very hard working and will bend over backwards
to meet the needs of the campers, parents and counselors.Lucas LivingstonMy name is Luke Livingston and I am part of the Swim Leadership
Team at Fred's Camp. I was a swimmer at college and have worked
for eight years teaching and coaching swimming. This was my first
summer at Fred's Camp and I am excited to return again next summer.
During the school year I work as a 6th grade Teacher at The Walt Disney
Magnet School here in Chicago. I spend a lot of time out on Lake Michigan
boating. Working at Fred's Camp has been really incredible, the family
atmosphere is the real reason I enjoy coming to work each day!
Chris BaldwinChris began his Fred's Camp career in 2004. Chris attended Eastern

been teaching science to sixth, seventh and eighth graders
at St. Clement School. Donna is also a basketball and volleyball coach and has coached children at all levels, ranging from

for her and her son Jamie, who is in the Tween group.Kathleen Baldwin
