Facilities
Our urban setting has a 50,000-square-foot green oasis. The
Quad is reserved for picnics, outdoor water play, athletics,
and fun and games. The DePaul University quad is also
home to our weekly cookouts serving Fred’s Fabulous Franks.
Fred’s
Camp campers have use of the 120,000 square foot Ray Meyer
Fitness & Recreation Center (2235 N. Sheffield). This air conditioned,
state of the art facility opened in September 1999. The
Ray Meyer Fitness & Recreation Center affords Fred’s Camp use
of its basketball courts, a 25 meter lap pool and multi purpose
rooms for various classes offered to Fred’s Camp campers.
Fred’s Camp’s
main office is located in the DePaul Athletic Center (2323
N. Sheffield) which also is the home to McGrath Arena. Fred’s
Camp has exclusive use of this air conditioned athletic training
facility during the summer. We are thrilled that our
campers get the opportunity to play on Wish Field, home of
the DePaul University soccer teams. This football sized
field has the latest in field turf technology and allows campers
to compete like the pros.
