IN-TAKE FORM
NO CHILD WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND CAMP WITHOUT THIS SIGNED
FORM. If your child needs to receive medicine
(including keeping an Epi-pen at camp) while at camp, please
call the camp office or print one out from our website to
obtain the medical release form, which must be completed
by both physician and parent. FRED’S CAMP cannot administer
medications without this form.
CALENDAR
At the pre-camp meeting you will be given a calendar that will
keep you informed of cookouts, special events and other important
dates. The calendars will be available online after
June 16.
BUSES
Bus schedules will be mailed approximately 1 week before camp
begins. If you have any questions/changes (i.e. morning
or afternoon only), call Jodi 847-670-6707 ASAP. Once
camp begins, please only use the camp phone number 773-348-3733
to reach Jodi.
FIRST AID/EMERGENCIES
Minor bruises, scratches and cuts will be taken care of at
camp. If it is anything more serious, we will call
you or your emergency number. If emergency care is
required, we will go to Children's Memorial Hospital or the
closest medical facility. During our staff orientation,
most of our Senior staff will become certified in CPR/Red
Cross.
LUNCHES/COOKOUTS
Parents are to send lunches every day except Friday, which
is our cookout day. We will provide beverages every
day and a snack before the campers go home. Lunches
are refrigerated as soon as your children arrive at camp. Please
send your child's lunch in a disposable bag marked with his/her
name. On trip day, please do not send a lunch that
can spoil as lunches are not refrigerated that day.
SWIMMING
We will be swimming 3-4 times per week under the direction
of our own Water Safety Instructors (WSI). Each swim
period includes about 30 minutes of instruction. Please
send a bathing suit and towel every day, unless notified
by camp, as we often have water activities on our trip days.

Campers will have the opportunity to meet their counselors
and other key staff. Parents who have more than one child
in camp only have to attend one meeting, unless you have a
tween camper. We suggest that tweens attend with their
parents. We will be giving out camp t-shirts and selling
additional shirts. Camp backpacks, caps and other items
will also be available for purchase. It is not necessary
to notify us if you are unable to attend. You may designate
a friend to pick up your child’s t-shirt, calendar and group
information. The format for this meeting will allow parents,
campers and staff to get to know each other.
The drawing for the free camp will take
place during our 1st meeting. The winning name will be announced during each
meeting. Of course, the winner need not be present.
