Fred Greenburg fulfilled a dream in 1994 when he started Fred's Camp at the age of 50. He retired as a Physical Education teacher in 2003 after teaching at Pulaski Fine Arts Academy, a Chicago Public School for 36 years. The Gymnasium at Pulaski Academy bears his name.

Fred has been married to Lynne since 1968. They have two children, both teachers who are married to teachers. Jodi Lasky handles all of the off season day to day operations and is Director of Transportation. During the summer Jodi oversees the onsite camp office. She is also a stay at home mom to Madelyn (9/02) and Sean (1/05). Jodi's husband David Lasky owns Lasky Martial Arts, 2442 N. Lincoln and is also a buyer with Universal Scrap Metals. Mark Greenburg does all hiring and supervision of staff as well as being the program director. During the school year he is a Physical Education teacher at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School. He and his wife, Abigail, have a son Max (7/05).

Prior to starting Fred's Camp, Fred directed another camp in the DePaul area for several years. From 1972-1979 he was Director of a Residential Camp for physically challenged children.

Head Counselor
Directly responsible for the group and have completed freshman year in college or more; can include teachers, recreation majors, student athletes.

Assistant Counselor
Support the head counselor in the daily routine of camp. Assistant counselors have completed one year of high school. Often they are former campers who enjoyed their experience and wanted to become one of the counselors.
